Modular chevron system built for flexibility

Because the Evo-Chev is fully modular, it can be configured to suit a wide range of roundabout layouts, site requirements and visibility needs. The Chev Builder above shows just a small selection of what is possible with the Evo-Chev Roundabout system. Systems are available in 400mm, 600mm and 800mm chevron heights, with options for standard chevrons, high-visibility yellow borders and D606 sign faces where required.

This flexibility makes Evo-Chev suitable for new roundabout schemes, existing site upgrades and replacement works where a more forgiving, reboundable chevron system is needed.

Passively safe protection for real-world roundabout impacts

Traditional chevron boards do an important job, but rigid sign plates and posts are not always the most forgiving option when an impact happens.

The Evo-Chev Roundabout provides clear visual guidance in a passively safe, reboundable format. It uses the familiar black and white chevron layout to help highlight the change in direction at a roundabout, while the flexible design helps reduce risk and maintain visibility after impact.

TMP has carried out scientific and real-world testing in accordance with BS EN 12767, with the Evo-Chev achieving the highest safety rating of 100:NE:4.

The system has also been designed and tested to withstand impacts from all angles. If struck, the reboundable construction allows it to flex and return to an upright position, helping keep the warning visible for the next road user.

For highway teams, that means a highly visible roundabout chevron system that is easier to maintain, more forgiving on impact and better suited to real-world roadside conditions.

Not your average chevron road sign

Chevron signs are a familiar sight on roundabout approaches, helping drivers recognise a sharp change in direction and respond accordingly.

Under the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions (TSRGD 2016), chevrons are designated as Diagram numbers 515, 515.1 and 515.1A, and are used to mark a sharp deviation of route, such as a roundabout or sharp bend in the road.

Evo-Chev is supplied as a TSRGD-compliant chevron system, retaining the familiar visual guidance drivers expect while rethinking how the sign performs. Instead of a traditional rigid chevron board, it gives specifiers a modern, passively safe and reboundable system designed for real-world roundabout applications.

Each Evo-Chev is supplied with a pre-spaced mounting plate, taking the guesswork out of correct spacing at time of installation. The individual blade design enables the replacement of damaged signs to be carried out in minimal time and at minimal cost.

We also offer a unique base system, allowing the TMP Evo-Chev to be retro-fitted to other chevron blade system foundations, without the need for expensive excavation and requires no special tools.
