The EcoLight Solar sign light is a solar powered light that can illuminate sign plates up to 900mm, with zero emissions. The lightweight solar light is able to keep the sign illuminated from dusk til dawn all year round. The EcoLight is connected to 3 x 7Ah, 12V internal batteries capable of powering the LEDs for at least 5 days without charge, even in the winter!
The batteries and charge controller are securely stored in the base of an appropriate BS EN 40-2:2004 column.
Installation
The EcoLight sign light is mid mounted to any suitable 76,89 or 144mm sign column with TESPA banding (not supplied) and the frameless solar module mounted above using sign clips (not supplied). By facing the panel south it will harness the most of the sunlight available.
The batteries and control charger are placed neatly in the base of the column. The charge controller includes an automatic dusk/dawn feature and therefore can incorporate optional settings to switch the light off during certain times overnight if required.
It may be possible to install the kit on a 76mm diameter column, but access apertures vary in size and shape and not all columns will be suitable. You will need to provide your own column with a door aperture of at least 500mm x 100mm. The installer is responsible for checking that the chosen column is structurally suitable for the application and that the kit fits.
To finish the installation just add your own own sign plate and clips.
